In the countryside near Siena, on the crest of a hill, surrounded by a wood of oak trees,
the restoration of a farmhouse had seriously damaged the local features. The rehabilitation
of the surrounding environment was necessary.
The slopes of the hill werw remodeled using large steps supported by walls built using
local stone, in keeping with the ancient techniques of embanking and terracing.
Rows of Cypresses, hedges of lavander, laurels, wild roses, dog roses and old roses
soften the curves.
An orchard of forgotten fruits, groups of vegetation chosen among native plants and small
vines integrate the edges of the wood with the garden.
